Well, it finally happened. I got COVID.

Well, it finally happened. I got COVID.

Wednesday, I had a wicked headache. No coughing or anything, so I thought it was just related to my recent diet changes or cutting out a large amount of sugar/carbs from my diet (diet-related headaches).

Thursday morning, I felt perfectly fine. Headache was gone, had a little tickle in my throat, but otherwise, felt normal.

However, throughout the day, I did indeed start to feel a bit off, but nothing to throw off the alarm bells.

After I finished up work, had to run some errands, and by the time I was done with them, I felt absolutely exhausted. More than I usually do. So, when I got home, I decided to crack out the COVID tests just to ensure it wasn't COVID.

Unfortunately, that COVID test came up positive...

With that positive test, I isolated myself in my room, and now only leave when absolutely necessary. Waking up today, I had a little bit of a sore throat, which cleared up rather quickly, and I have some minor muscle aches, but otherwise I feel fine.

I guess it's a good thing that the first time I get COVID is well into when the current variants are far less deadly then that of the initial variants of the virus.

So less deadly, in fact, my doctor basically told me to take some advil/tylonal for headaches/muscle aches, and just drink water. No need for paxlovid or similar antivirals.

It sucks that I got COVID, but, it was only a matter of time to when I would get it!
