I love bowling.

Over the summer, I went from someone who has mild interest in it with a single hand-me-down ball from another bowler in my league, to owning three of my own balls and taking it more seriously.

Just this past summer alone, I have spent over $500 on bowling balls and utilities (ball cleaner, towels, etc.).

I love the game. I am fortunate enough that I can get free practice bowling, but between cost of balls, maintenance, and other things, it still starts costing a pretty penny.

I want to get more serious with bowling, but my wallet is telling me to back off.

Why are some hobbies so darn expensive!?
