Why is Elite Dangerous so fun?

Recently, a friend of mine started to play Elite Dangerous, and kept talking about it in Discord.

After giving it some thought, I decided to pick up the game myself, and boy, is it fun!

The game reminds me of an older space game I played awhile back with my gaming friends, Freelancer online. It gives me the same vibes as that game did, and I had a lot of fun back then on that game.

So, if you notice a lack of blog posts on a regular basis, Elite Dangerous is probably to blame ;).
